OUR STORY

​

Our story begins in 2009, when our founder Ardy Damis took a risk and started Nimroc under a canopy at the Downtown Night Market, armed only with knowledge from YouTube and a dream to succeed. In 2013, his long-time best friend Rafaei Razali joined as co-founder, and together they worked to expand the business.

 

In 2014, Nimroc moved to a bigger space in Uptown Pudu, with one cabin container that could accommodate four barber chairs. As the business grew, we were able to expand to 10 cabin containers and serve a larger customer base. In 2018, we opened outlets in Danau Kota and Section 7 Shah Alam, and unfortunately had to close down our original location in Uptown Pudu due to unforeseen circumstances. But we didn't let that stop us - we moved to a new location in Taman Maluri and continued to grow, opening two more outlets in Damansara Perdana and Taman Dagang in 2020. In 2021, despite the challenges of the pandemic and lockdowns, we opened a new shop in Kota Damansara and also started a new venture called Nimroc Academy, where we train new students to become skilled barbers and kickstart their careers with us.

 

Today, Nimroc is a thriving and sustainable business, with over 80 barbers and management staff. Our goal is to continue expanding and providing excellent service to customers all across Malaysia, while also creating job opportunities for young people to carry on our legacy. We remain committed to our mantra of "Make It Real" and are dedicated to turning our dreams into a reality, including building a new generation of skilled barbers through our training program at Nimroc Academy.
